Hyderabad: Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Monday arrested a male passenger accused of smuggling foreign currency i.e. Saudi Riyals worth nearly Rs 34 lakh.
The passenger was traveling on an Air Arabia flight to Sharjah. Foreign currency equivalent to Rs 33.49 lakh, concealed in a false compartment of a suitcase, was recovered and seized.
Customs officials said a further investigation was underway.
